Quran -Koran burning on 9/11 in Mulberry Florida

10th Annual Unity Day USA – reflections on 9/11 tragedy and response to Quran Burning by Pastor Terry Jones at Mulberry Civic Center, Florida. 

You are cordially invited to be a part of a purposeful event, and join fellow Americans of different faiths, ethnicities and races to reflect on the anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy. On this day, we will reaffirm our pledge to one nation under God with liberty and Justice for all. We will pray for peace, prosperity and security of our nation.

Your presence fortifies our commitment to a cohesive America, where no American has to live in apprehension, discomfort or fear of fellow Americans. Last year the event focused on the positive response of Sikh community to the Wisconsin Shooting,  and this year we will focus on the positive prayerful response of Muslim community to the planned Qur'an Burning by Pastor Terry Jones in Mulberry, Florida. We honor the freedom of speech of every American.

The Marine Guards will start off the ceremony followed by the Sikh Community Members singing our national Anthem followed by recognizing seven individuals who are making a difference in building a cohesive America. Two communities have been playing an exemplary role in sharing their work and action that brings Americans together. The civic leaders including state Representatives, Mayors, council persons, Fire and Police Chiefs will join us followed by 13 leaders representing Atheism to Zoroastrianism to share the wisdom or scriptures from their traditions. There will be light lunch in the Sikh Tradition.
